Effective date: 27 October 2026. This Policy replaces the version last updated on 26 October 2026.

1. Who we are and what this Policy covers

1.1 Trindle is a product made and operated by Namda Life and Machines Private Limited, a company incorporated in India with its registered office at Unit No. 309, 3rd Floor, Tower-A, SAS Tower, Support Area, Medicity, Sector-38, Gurgaon 122001, Haryana, India (“Namda”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Our website is namda.co. “Trindle” means the service and the assistant you talk to. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Namda is the data fiduciary for the personal data described in this Policy. “Affiliates” means companies that control Namda, are controlled by Namda, or are under common control with Namda.

1.2 This Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what rights and choices you have. It covers:

(a) Trindle on the messaging service you use with it, which today is WhatsApp, including every message, picture, voice note and video exchanged with Trindle, and any application of Trindle’s own that we may offer;

(b) the websites trindle.ai and app.trindle.ai, including the sign-up page, the continuation and payment pages, and the waitlist;

(c) anyone who uses the Services: a Primary User, a Member, a person the Primary User has allowed to see some of the Household’s information (an “Allowed Person”), a visitor who messages Trindle before signing up, and a person on the waitlist; and

(d) information about other people that a user gives us, such as the names of the people at home.

1.3 Words that begin with a capital letter and are not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms of Service.

1.4 Please read this Policy together with the Terms of Service. If you do not agree with it, do not use the Services. If you have questions, the contact details are in Section 19.

2. What we collect

We collect information in the ways below. We do not collect more than the Services need.

2.1 Sign-up details, such as your first name; your country, which we pre-fill from your internet address and which you may correct; your city; the number or account you use on the messaging service; and your acceptance of the Terms of Service and this Policy, with the version accepted and the time.

2.2 Household composition, such as the first names of the people who eat at home and a tag for each (adult, child, eats elsewhere mostly), and who cooks and roughly when, as stated by the Primary User. We record these facts as stated by the Primary User. When one of those people joins as a Member from their own account, we confirm their details with them directly and from then on treat what they tell us about themselves as their own.

2.3 What you send, such as text messages, photos (for example of your kitchen shelves, a dish, a label or a bill), voice notes, videos, forwarded messages and your reactions, in your conversations with Trindle.

2.4 Facts Trindle derives from what you tell it, such as what each person likes and dislikes; what each person avoids, cannot eat or is allergic to; the diet each person follows; health conditions, goals and instructions from a doctor or dietitian that you choose to state; the timing of medication where you tell us so that a meal can be timed to it; how many people eat at each meal; who cooks and when; what is in your kitchen; your planning day; the times you want things sent; and the language you write in.

2.5 Orders, bookings and addresses, such as the delivery address you give when an order is placed, the items, quantities, prices and platform used, the order reference and delivery status, and for a booking what was booked, when, for whom, and any cancellation condition.

2.6 Payments. Payments are processed by Razorpay, which collects your card, UPI or bank details under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store those details. We receive and keep the payment reference, the amount, the currency, the date, the plan paid for, any coupon code used, and whether the payment succeeded.

2.7 Technical data, such as, on our websites, the country derived from your internet address, basic information about your browser and device, the pages you visit, and a token or cookie that remembers that you have completed the sign-up page so that you can return to it for seven days; on the messaging service, the message identifiers, timestamps, delivery and read status that the service provides, the profile name attached to your account, and the status of template messages we send; and in our systems, logs of what Trindle did and when, including which step produced which message, so that we can find and fix problems.

2.8 Pre-sign-up chats. If you write to Trindle without having signed up, Trindle will reply for a limited number of turns and point you to the sign-up page. We keep those messages so that Trindle knows you when you write again. They are deleted when you ask us to, as Section 11.5 describes.

2.9 Waitlist details, such as your name, number, city and anything you tell us, so that we can message you when Trindle reaches your city and so that Trindle is ready for you when you sign up.

2.10 Permissions to see information. Where a Primary User allows another person, inside or outside the Household, to see some of the Household’s information, we record who was allowed, by whom, when, and what they may see.

2.11 What we do not collect. We do not collect your device’s location; we hold the delivery address you give us for orders, and the city and country you give us on the sign-up page. We do not collect your card or bank account numbers, government identity numbers, your phone’s contacts, or the content of your other chats on the messaging service. We do not read your messages with anyone other than Trindle. We do not ask for a photograph of a person, and you should not send one; if you do, we use it only for the purpose you sent it for, and we do not run face recognition.

3. Why we use your information, and on what basis

3.1 To provide the Services. We use your information to plan your meals, write and send cooking guides, keep track of what your kitchen needs, prepare and place orders you approve, make bookings and run errands you ask for, answer your questions, keep the record of your Household that lets Trindle plan better over time, and carry messages between the people of your Household as your permissions allow.

3.2 To run your account. We use your information to connect your account to your Household, to recognise you and your Members when you write, to run your Trial and Subscription, to take payment through Razorpay, to apply coupons and the Early Believer discount, and to send you messages about your account.

3.3 To keep the Services working and safe. Your messages and our logs are processed automatically by Trindle’s own systems to find and fix errors in how Trindle works, to check that Trindle did what it should, to prevent abuse, fraud and misuse, and to protect the people who use Trindle. They are not read by a person in the ordinary course of this work; Section 6.1 describes the limited circumstances in which a person may look at a specific message.

3.4 To improve the Services. We study how Trindle performs, where it fails, and what households need, and we use what we learn to improve its planning, its writing, its pictures and its systems. Section 8 explains how we do this with de-identified data.

3.5 To tell you what is new and what Trindle can do. We send short notes about changes to the Services and offers of things Trindle can take on for your Household. You may stop the offers at any time, as Section 13 describes.

3.6 To meet our legal obligations. We keep records that tax, consumer protection, payment and data protection laws require, and we respond to lawful requests from authorities.

3.7 Our legal basis in India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give on the sign-up page and in chat, which you may withdraw at any time, and for the legitimate uses the Act allows, including where you have given us your personal data voluntarily for a purpose and have not objected, where we must comply with a law or a court order, and where it is needed to respond to a medical emergency.

3.8 Our legal basis outside India. Where the law of your country requires a legal basis, we rely on the performance of our contract with you (the Terms of Service) for the Services and payment; on your consent for health-related information you choose to state, for marketing messages, and for the use of your information in ways you have agreed to; on our legitimate interests in keeping the Services secure, improving them and running our business, where those interests are not outweighed by your rights; and on legal obligations where they apply.

4. Health-related information

4.1 Some of what you tell Trindle is about health: an allergy, an intolerance, a condition such as diabetes or high blood pressure, a pregnancy, a goal such as weight loss, an instruction from a doctor, or the time a medicine is taken. This is sensitive information. We collect it only because you or an adult in your Household state it, and we use it only to plan and time your Household’s meals, to write guides that fit, and to keep the people who cook for you informed of what to avoid.

4.2 Trindle records which person each fact belongs to, so that a plan made for one person is not applied to another, and so that you can later see what was taken into account and for whom.

4.3 We do not use health-related information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone outside the Household except the providers described in Section 6 that process it on our behalf to provide the Services, and as the law requires.

4.4 Within a Household, Trindle shares a person’s avoidances with the Cook in the plain words of the kitchen (for example “no peanuts in Tuesday’s dinner”) without naming a condition, unless the person has asked for the reason to be shared. An Allowed Person never sees health-related information unless the Primary User allows it and the person concerned has not objected.

4.5 You may ask us to remove any health-related fact at any time, by telling Trindle in chat or by writing to us. Trindle will stop planning around it from the next plan.

5. Information about other people

5.1 When you tell Trindle about the people in your home, you are giving us personal data about them. You confirm that you are entitled to do so for the purpose of planning the Household’s meals, and that you will tell them that Trindle holds their first name and what they eat. If any of them objects, tell us and we will remove what we hold about them.

5.2 Children. Trindle is for adults. A Household may include children, described by an adult by first name and the tag “child”. We hold that information under the consent of the adult who gave it, as a parent or guardian, and we use it only to plan the Household’s meals. We never message a child on the child’s own account knowingly, we do not profile children, and we do not send them anything. If we learn that an account connected to Trindle belongs to a person under 18, we will remove it.

5.3 A person who cooks for you. If the person who cooks is not a Member, Trindle sends guides to the Household’s account for them, and may address them by first name. If the Cook joins from their own account, they become a Member and this Policy applies to them directly.

5.4 Allowed Persons. A Primary User may allow another person, inside or outside the Household, to see some of the Household’s information under settings the Primary User controls. The person allowed sees only that. The Primary User may change or withdraw the permission at any time.

6. How Trindle processes what you send

6.1 Your conversations with Trindle are between you and Trindle. No member of our team reads them in the course of running the Services. They are processed by Trindle’s own systems to understand your Household, to do its work for you, and to find and fix errors in how it works. A person may look at a specific message only when you report a problem and ask us to look, or where the law requires it. De-identified data drawn from conversations may be used to improve Trindle for everyone, as Section 8 describes.

6.2 Trindle reads and writes with the help of services run by other companies, in these categories: artificial intelligence model and speech providers, which understand what you said, read a photo, transcribe a voice note, plan a meal, write a guide or produce a picture; web search providers, which help Trindle find current prices, product details and public information, and which receive only the subject of the search and the city, never who asked; cloud hosting and database providers, which run our systems and store our data; messaging platforms, which carry the messages; and payment providers, which process payments. Each is engaged under business terms that require it to protect the information, that allow it to retain your content only for the short period its own security processes require, and that do not allow it to use your content to train its models.

6.3 What the AI models see. Trindle uses two kinds of AI models. One kind plans your meals and writes your guides and lists. It sees the people in your Household as labels, not by name. It sees the health needs that shape a person’s food, but never together with that person’s name. The other kind reads what you write and say to Trindle, and writes her replies. It sees your messages as you sent them, including names, because Trindle has to understand you and answer you. Every model provider is bound by 6.2. It may not keep your content beyond its own security checks, and it may not use it to train its models.

6.4 Messages travel through the messaging service you use. Today that is WhatsApp, which is provided by Meta, and Meta’s own privacy policy applies to how WhatsApp handles your messages in transit and on your phone. We receive what you send to Trindle and the delivery information the messaging service provides to businesses.

6.5 We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

7. Who we share your information with

7.1 Service providers. The categories of provider described in Section 6; Razorpay, for payments; and the third-party platforms through which Trindle places orders and bookings, which depend on where you live and may include quick-commerce and grocery platforms such as Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket, Flipkart Minutes, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Now and JioMart; food delivery platforms such as Swiggy and Zomato; reservation, ticketing and going-out platforms such as District, BookMyShow, EazyDiner and Swiggy Dineout; home services platforms such as Urban Company; and any other platform available where you live. Each receives only what its service needs. A platform receives the items or the booking, the delivery address and the recipient’s name, and, where it requires a contact number, a number for the delivery, which may be a temporary number that forwards to you and stops working once the delivery is complete; your own phone number is not shared where the platform allows an order without it. Orders may be placed through accounts that belong to Trindle rather than to you, so that the platform does not hold your account or build a profile of your Household’s purchases. Where Namda has a direct arrangement with a platform, the same information may be sent through a direct technical connection the platform provides. Razorpay receives the amount and a reference. An artificial intelligence provider receives the content it must read or write, prepared as Section 6.3 describes.

7.2 Your Household. Members and Allowed Persons see what the Primary User’s permissions allow, as Sections 4 and 5 describe. Trindle carries messages between the people of a Household when asked to.

7.3 Affiliates. We may share information with Namda’s Affiliates that help us provide the Services, under this Policy.

7.4 Law and safety. We disclose information when a law, a court order or a government authority with the power to require it asks us to; to protect the rights, property or safety of Namda, our users or others; and to detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

7.5 Business transfers. If Namda or substantially all of its assets are acquired, merged or reorganised, your information may be transferred to the successor, who will be bound by this Policy until it is changed with notice to you.

7.6 Aggregate and de-identified information. We share and publish information that does not identify you, as Section 8 describes.

8. De-identified data, research and future products

8.1 De-identified data is information from which we have removed names, phone numbers, addresses, the identifiers the messaging service and our systems attach to you, and any other detail that would let a reasonable person identify you or a member of your Household. Where a message or a photo could identify someone, it is removed, rewritten so that it cannot, or excluded. We keep identifiable records separate from de-identified ones.

8.2 We use de-identified data to study patterns in how homes eat, cook, shop and plan; to produce reports and analyses about those patterns at the level of a region, a city, a season or a population, which may be published, licensed or shared in aggregate with research partners, public bodies, Affiliates and businesses; to train, test and improve Trindle’s own models, prompts and systems; and to inform and develop other products, services and technology that Namda or its Affiliates may offer in future. These patterns may include health-related information that households have chosen to share with Trindle, counted across many homes in forms that identify no one.

8.3 We use de-identified data only in forms that do not identify a person. We do not attempt to re-identify anyone from it, and we require anyone we share it with to agree not to attempt re-identification and not to link it with other data in order to identify a person. Reports and analyses we publish or share are at a level of aggregation at which no individual or Household can be picked out. Health-related facts enter de-identified data only as categories and patterns, never attached to a name or an account.

8.4 We do not sell your identifiable personal data, and we do not share it with research partners or other businesses for their own purposes. We do not use your identifiable personal data to train models run by other companies. We may use your identifiable data to improve Trindle’s own service for your Household, which is part of providing the Services.

8.5 Because de-identified data no longer identifies you, it is not personal data, and data protection law generally does not give rights over it. If you withdraw your consent or ask us to delete your personal data, we will stop adding your information to de-identified data sets from that point and will delete your identifiable records as Section 11 describes. De-identified data already produced and reports already published are not withdrawn.

8.6 Any future product or service built with the help of this data will have its own terms and privacy notice. Nothing in this Section enrols you in any future product or shares your identifiable information with it.

9. Where your information is stored and processed

9.1 For people in India, our primary data store, which holds your records, is on servers in India. Short-lived working copies used while Trindle is replying to you, and the processing our providers carry out for Trindle, such as artificial intelligence providers reading what you sent, may take place outside India for the time they are needed, under contracts that protect it as Section 6.2 describes and in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and any restrictions the Central Government notifies under it.

9.2 For people outside India, personal data is stored in their region where their law requires it, and otherwise in India by default. Where personal data is transferred from your country to India or elsewhere, we rely on our contracts with our providers, which require them to protect your data to a standard consistent with this Policy, and, where the law of your country requires it, on approved contractual clauses or on your consent.

10. Security

10.1 We protect your information with technical and organisational measures that fit the sensitivity of what we hold: encryption of data in transit and at rest where our providers support it, access controls so that only systems and, where needed, people who must reach your data can do so, logging of access and of what Trindle did, separation of identifiable and de-identified data, and backups.

10.2 No system is perfectly secure, and messaging involves your phone and the messaging service’s own systems, which we do not control. Keep your phone and your account secure, and tell us if you think your account has been misused.

10.3 If a breach of personal data affects you, we will tell you without undue delay, in the way the law requires, with what happened, what it may mean for you, what we have done, and what you can do, and we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and any other authority as required.

11. How long we keep your information

11.1 While your Household uses Trindle, we keep the information that the Services need. Trindle’s usefulness comes from remembering what your Household has told it, so we keep the record of your Household’s facts and the history of plans, guides, lists and orders for as long as you are a user.

11.2 When your Household ends, whether because you stop paying, you tell us to stop, or we end the Services, we keep your information for 90 days so that you can return and so that we can answer any question about the last weeks of service. After that we delete it or convert it to de-identified data under Section 8, except for the records in Section 11.3.

11.3 We keep some records longer because the law requires it: payment and order records for the period required by Indian tax and company law, which is currently up to eight years; and logs of processing for at least one year as data protection rules require. We keep records of a complaint or dispute until it is resolved and for the period in which a claim could be brought.

11.4 If you ask us to delete your personal data under Section 12, we will do so within the time the law allows, keeping only what Section 11.3 requires. Where the law requires us to tell you before we erase data that we no longer need, we will send you a notice at least 48 hours before erasing it.

11.5 Messages from people who have not signed up are kept so that Trindle knows the person when they write again. They are deleted when the person asks, in their own words, in a message to Trindle or by email; Trindle will confirm the request by the person’s next reply and then delete. We do not use these messages for anything other than replying to that person and, in de-identified form, under Section 8.

11.6 Backups are kept for a limited period and are overwritten on a rolling basis; data deleted from our live systems may remain in a backup for a short time afterwards and is not restored except to recover from a failure.

12. Your rights and how to use them

12.1 In India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to: obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we have used and shared it; have inaccurate or incomplete personal data corrected or updated; have personal data erased when it is no longer needed for the purpose or when you withdraw consent, subject to the records we must keep; withdraw your consent at any time, with the same ease with which you gave it, after which we stop processing on that basis for the future; raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer and, if it is not resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India; and nominate a person who may exercise these rights for you if you die or are unable to.

12.2 Outside India. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it; to access a copy of it in a portable form; to correct it; to delete it; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to complain to a supervisory authority in your country. We honour these rights for everyone, wherever they live, as far as the law allows.

12.3 California. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to; to delete it; to correct it; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of; we use sensitive personal information only to provide the Services you ask for. We honour opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control on our websites. Our websites do not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals because there is no common standard for them. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing, so no disclosure under California’s “Shine the Light” law is required. You may use an authorised agent to make a request; we will ask the agent for proof of authority and may ask you to confirm it.

12.4 European Economic Area and United Kingdom. If you are in the EEA or the UK, the legal bases in Section 3.8 apply, and you have the rights in Section 12.2 together with the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Health-related information is processed with your explicit consent.

12.5 How to make a request. Message Trindle in chat in your own words (for example “delete everything you have about me”, “send me what you know about my home”, or “stop the offers”), or write to here@namda.co. Trindle will confirm what you asked for. We may ask you to confirm from the account connected to your Household, or in another way, before we act, so that we do not give your information to someone else or delete it on a stranger’s request. We will acknowledge your request within a few working days and respond within the time the applicable law requires, and in any case within 30 days. We do not charge for a request unless the law allows it and the request is excessive.

12.6 Requests about other people. A Member may exercise these rights for their own information. A Primary User may correct or remove what they stated about a Member who has not joined, and the facts they stated about a child. An Allowed Person may ask for their permission to be ended and their own information removed.

12.7 Consent managers. When consent managers registered under the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 become available for services like ours, we will let you manage your consent through them as the law requires.

13. Marketing messages and your choices

13.1 Service messages. While you use Trindle you receive the messages that make up the Services: plans, guides, lists, questions, reminders, order and booking updates, and messages about your account, Trial and Subscription. These are not marketing messages.

13.2 Offers and what is new. Trindle sometimes tells you what is new and offers things it can take on for your Household. Some of these are classed as marketing by the messaging service. You may stop them by telling Trindle so in your own words at any time. We never send more of these than the messaging service’s rules and our own limits allow, and we never send them to a person who has asked us to stop.

13.3 Waitlist. If you are on the waitlist, we message you when Trindle reaches your city and occasionally about Trindle’s progress. You may leave the waitlist by replying to any message or writing to us.

13.4 We do not send marketing on behalf of anyone else, and we do not give your number to anyone for their marketing.

14. Cookies and our websites

14.1 Our websites use a small number of cookies and similar tools that the site needs to work: to remember that you have completed the sign-up page for seven days so that you can return to the button, to keep your place while you move between screens, and to protect the site against misuse. We derive your country from your internet address on the server when you open the sign-up page, and you may change it.

14.2 We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to count visits and understand which pages are used. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels from advertising networks, or cross-site tracking.

14.3 You can block cookies in your browser. If you do, the sign-up page may not remember that you have completed it, and you may have to start again.

15. Members and Allowed Persons: what each can see

15.1 The Primary User sees everything Trindle holds about the Household and controls the permissions.

15.2 A Member sees the plans and guides that concern them, the household facts the Primary User has allowed, and what the Member themselves has told Trindle. A Member’s own health-related facts are shown to the Cook only in kitchen terms, as Section 4.4 describes.

15.3 An Allowed Person sees only what the Primary User allows, and never the Household’s messages, payment details or address unless the Primary User chooses to share them.

15.4 Trindle will tell a person what it holds about them on request, and will tell the Primary User what each Allowed Person can see.

16. Links and third-party services

16.1 Trindle may send you links to recipe videos, product pages and other third-party sites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. Razorpay’s payment page, the platforms through which orders and bookings are placed, and the messaging service itself each have their own privacy policies, which apply to what you do with them.

17. Changes to this Policy

17.1 We may change this Policy. Each version carries an effective date at the top, and the version you accepted is recorded against your Household. When a change affects how we use your personal data in a meaningful way, we will tell you on the messaging service at least 15 days before it takes effect and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again. Small changes, such as a new category of provider in Section 6 or a clarification, take effect when posted.

18. Your consent, and withdrawing it

18.1 By accepting this Policy on the sign-up page, and by giving Trindle information in chat, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as this Policy describes, including health-related information you choose to state, information about the people in your Household that you are entitled to share, and the use of de-identified data as Section 8 describes.

18.2 You may withdraw your consent at any time by telling Trindle or by writing to us. Withdrawing consent does not affect what was done before, and it means that Trindle can no longer provide the Services that depend on the data concerned; withdrawing consent for everything ends the Services for your Household.

19. Grievance Officer and contact

19.1 Our Grievance Officer, appointed under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules under it, and the person authorised to answer your questions under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, is:

Pranav Gupta
Namda Life and Machines Private Limited
Unit No. 309, 3rd Floor, Tower-A, SAS Tower, Support Area, Medicity, Sector-38, Gurgaon 122001, Haryana, India
Email: here@namda.co

19.2 For questions about this Policy or about your information, write to here@namda.co or message Trindle. We will acknowledge a grievance within a few working days and try to resolve it within the time the applicable law requires, and in any case within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, if you live outside India, to the authority responsible for data protection in your country.
